This review is from: Samsung Series 3 NP300V5A-A0EUS 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) (Personal Computers)
I recently purchased this laptop mainly for college use and some little gaming. This is my third laptop I’ve owned, and overall I’m very pleased with it (my others being an HP dv6t and Sony VAIO E-series).
Pros: - Very sleek and modern - High quality island-style keyboard (My Sony VAIO felt VERY cheap) - Fast 2nd Gen. Intel Core i5 processor - 6GB of RAM (rare for this price point) - Feels very light for a 15.6″ - Not a lot of bloatware compared to my previous HP & VAIO laptops - Non-glossy LED screen
Cons: - The back of the screen is actually plastic, not brushed aluminum - Sound is good, but not loud in max volume - No light on the Caps, Number, and Scroll Lock buttons (it actually displays it on the screen) - The zero on the number pad is small (I’m used to using my thumb for hitting zero) - No USB 3.0 ports - Intel HD 3000 graphics (Then again, I’m not a hardcore gamer) - A bit difficult to stick something to a USB port
Overall, for $650, I’m very happy with the purchase I made, and it’s a lot better than my previous laptops.
