    Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

First off the shipping was fast. i payed for 2 day and got it next day. not bad seeing how next day was double the cost of 2 day, and it shipped on a Sunday, so kudos points points to Amazon. Also i had 0 issues getting this registered or my student identification getting verified. Sucks for the previous reviewer having issues with his key, but those things can happen from time to time. The student verification took less then two minutes which was surprising. Just had to enter the key the disk came with my school, personal info and used my school email as verification. They verified me in seconds and emailed me the product key. All in all the process is quick and painless, this is however the physical version. the previous reviewer had the downloaded version.

    Hi path0gen,

Thanks for the review and describing the process.

Yes, it’s unfortunate the prior reviewer hit a hiccup we had with the codes. That issue was corrected and users should have the experience you describe.

Eligibility Verification Does Not Work, May 12, 2012

    Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium Student and Teacher Edition [Download] (Software Download)

I purchased the Download version for the PC. As of today (5/12/2012)- when going to the website to verify your education version eligibility for the product (as instructed to do by the documentation provided with the download) – the website indicates the Product Code that I received from Amazon is not valid. This sets off chaos as you try to figure out whose problem this is – Amazon will send you to Adobe, Adobe back to Amazon, and this will continue until someone will notice that the verification website is a third party whose fault it probably really is. I tried two product keys issued by Amazon – neither worked – so finally I got a rebate. I love Amazon and I am sure that the product is great – but the way Adobe does eligibility verification for software purchase outside of Adobe is BAD (especially for newly release Adobe products).

    Hi Jens,

Sorry you had trouble. There was a hiccup right after the release with the new codes which was corrected. I’d encourage anyone who runs into any issues to contact me directly so I can get you straightened out quickly: jtranber at adobe dot com

For those looking for more details on how the validation process works, I’ve tried to outline the process here:

    Notes on EDU validation:

If you purchased a boxed product from Amazon, open the box and follow the instructions inside to submit your information for validation.

If you purchased a download version, the instructions for submitting the product code and validating your student eligibility are contained in a file called “IMPORTANT – How to validate and activate your product.pdf” that’s included in the download.

If you use your school issued email address <yourname@yourschool.edu> from a qualified institution during the process, the validation is instant and no other documentation is needed. If you have to submit documents it may take up to three business days to receive confirmation of your proof of eligibility and your serial number from Adobe.
