this iphone sync cord works better than apple my original cord broke after two months the cover split at plug base,, this one does all the features charging and sync with computer for $3.00 you cant beat the priceB.T.O. sold these,… some cheap cords only charge read the descriptions this cord syncs and charges too and has oval plug to fit iphones in cases like original square plugs wont work with cases like otterbox defender

PROS and CONS of this Generic USB Sync and Charging Cable.
Just to be clear, these are NOT official Apple approved cables but generic USB Cables to work with Apple Products.
PROS: —— - Very Low Cost ($0.99!!) - Works (mostly) - It’s white!!
CONS: —— - Not compatible with all Apple Devices - Sometimes gives “Not compatible” message when connecting - The plugs sometime fall apart - Just throw it out when it stops working =) - May not actually sync, just charge or vice versa! - Small and Fragile - Can cause a fire (yep, read a few more reviews and you will see!)
All in all, dont waste your time. Buy an Apple approved “Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad” cable and save yourself the grief.

3 of 4 were good after I tested each, so I wind up with three $4.00 cables instead of four $3.00 cables so still way ahead of walking into a blasted Apple store. Aftermarket cables are a gamble, so order extra. The phone connectors on these are of the solid Apple style and not the flimsy fall-apart 2-piece shell I’ve had to electrical-tape before. Pliable cable appears well secured to each connector. Syncs and charges a 3GS and fits the OtterBox port. Phone OS is 3.1.3. I didn’t contact BTO about the bad one. One star deducted for the one bad cable, but I’d order this product or other merchandise from BTO again without hesitation.
